September Private Garden Tour

Join us for a tour of a unique garden in East Pensacola Heights. This property is owned by a dedicated gardener and environmentalist, who is active in the Native Plant Society and the Organic Garden Club. He has created a space that protects our ecosystem by creating a series of swales and berms to catch the rainwater for his garden. This system also percolates out toxins before the water makes its way back to our bay system.

Native plants are used around the perimeter of the property, including a native pollinator garden, and a wooded area with a habitat “pile”. Walking the paths that wander through the property, there are interesting structures used to grow an amazing array of food crops. The many nooks and crannies of this garden provide inspiration to take back to our own gardens.

This tour will be on Sat, Sept 27, starting at 10 AM. Plan to be there for approximately 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours. After the tour, refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity to have a conversation about this garden and ask questions.

You set the price, with a minimum of $10. Anything above that amount helps to support us at Beyond the Garden Gate and is greatly appreciated!  Reservations required.  Limited to 10 people.  *SOLD OUT*
