Fall Bird Banding @ Fort Morgan

The Banding Coalition of the Americas is hosting its annual public bird banding viewing at Fort Morgan.

It’s from Friday, Oct. 3rd to Saturday, the 11th.  **Hours are 8am to 3pm, except for the 11th, when they call it a day at noon.**

From their site:  “Since 2019, BCA operates a fall public bird banding session for 8-9 days every year!

As former trainees of Bob and Martha Sargent, who operated the site for nearly 30 years through the Hummer/Bird Study Group, our goal is to continue this important research and public outreach effort. Typically, the banding occurs during the first week in October.”

The event is free, but there is an entrance fee to enter  Fort Morgan.
