Roy Hyatt Environmental Center’s Night of Nature

This is a free event open to the public to raise awareness of the center’s activities:  The mission of the Roy Hyatt Environmental Center is to immerse students in meaningful outdoor educational experiences that encourage curiosity and respect for our environment through hands-on, experiential, standards-based activities which will develop their knowledge and love of the natural world, ultimately inspiring them to become lifelong stewards of the environment.

The RHEC is not usually open to the public.  This event, Night of Nature, will feature:

• Birds of prey
• Night hikes in the woods
• Stargazing with telescopes
• Creatures of the night
• Inflatable planetarium
• Aquatic creatures

This is a free event, but donations are appreciated.  (cash/checks; gift cards to Walmart, grocery stores, Lowe’s, Home Depot, pet stores; wild birdseed; fruit & nut birdseed; turtle pellets; kale or collard greens; strawberries; blueberries; blackberries; bleach; hand sanitizer)
