Don’t miss this family-friendly opportunity to view wild migrating birds as they are measured, banded and shown. Guests may ask questions of the banders, and take amazing photos, too.
This site is a wooded bird watching/hiking area. Bring a chair and and any needs (water, snacks, bug repellant, hat, sunscreen, etc.). A porta john will be onsite.
The bird banding event is free and open to the public, but be aware that Fort Morgan charges an entry fee: adults $8; seniors, college students & children 6-12 $5; children under 6 and military personnel are free. Family rate (2 adults & 2 kids) $20.
Banding Coalition of the Americas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and donations are appreciated. Banding is conducted under a federally-authorized bird banding permit.
*Note: On Saturday, Oct 5th, the event closes at noon.
